How much does it cost to have clutch replaced on a 2006 Toyota Corolla?

5 speed standard, 1.8 L engine. In Texas if thats relevant. Also, how long should it last?

$750-1000 total. Parts aren’t real expensive but the labor is. How long they last depends on the driver. A good driver should have no problem getting 150k out of one. A bad driver may only get 150 out of it.

How do I change the whole clutch system in an 1996 Toyota Tercell?

I also need to know where to find the parts I would need. Well, my car lacks serious power in acceleration. I can hear the motor reving up but my car crawls to reach a desirable speed. Sometimes something catches on and I have good acceleration, but most of the time it doesn’t. I simply assume that it is a problem in the clutch system. If anyone has any suggestions, please post them here.

yeah clutch for sure, go to like napa or somewhere like that and get a clutch, throw-out bearing, and pilot bearing. Pull your tranny remove the cluth assy, remove the flywheel take it to a machine shop that machines flywheels then put it all back on, easy as makin a pie.

3000gt SL clutch slipping cost to replace??

How much would getting a replacement clutch run me… the symptoms of the damage are basically the inability to really accelerate somewhat in 3rd but barley any acceleration in 4th and none in 5th really.. also i smelt a bad burnt rubberish kinda smell no smoke that i could see though.. just curious on what kinda money im going to be spending on to get this repair?

OEM aproxximately 250 to 300. Its easy to do yourself. Or you can pay someone 500 to do it. Be sure to replace Clutch, Pressure plate, flywheel, and Through out bearing, all at the same time.

paddle shifters in the newer corvettes?

How do the paddle shifters work in the newer corvettes.

Im looking into buying a newer vette, but i can’t decide between the 6 speed (which i’m partial to) or the paddle shifter.

My question is, historically, granny gears and paddle shifters have never worked like a manual transmission car. in other words, typically, when you take off from a stop, it will be in first gear, and then switches to 2nd when it feels like it should regardless of it you told it to switch with the paddle or not, and if you’re in 3rd gear and slow down, it will go back into first regardless of whether you told it to, so in other words it’s typically automatic, or semi manual…

does the paddle shift in these cars act like a fully manual transmission with the exception of not having to use a clutch? and then if you put it in normal "auto mode" or "drive" it acts like every other automatic car?

or does it do it the way i mentioned??

I like manual transmissions, and always have. my camaro has a 6 speed and i enjoy it thoroughly. i’d hate to give that up if the paddle shift doesn’t work like a manual would.

if you’re in paddle shift mode, does the car automatically go into first gear if you stop at a light?

basically, i know nothing at all about how the corvette paddleshifters work. please enlighten me. hopefully i’ll find someone on here who actually -owns- one and can tell me from experience rather than speculation..

also, how many gears does the auto with paddle shift have… 6 right?

thanks in advance.

The paddle shift in the new vettes works like this, There is no clutch pedal (so that part really is automatic) but there are 2 clutches in the transmission, when going from 1 to 2, one clutch is engaged with 1 and the other is holding 2 away and ready to pop it in, due to this, there is no pressure system in the transmission like in an automatic transmission, so they were unable to do the old style auto. When you click your right paddle, gear 1 will be swifted out and gear 2 will be pushed in with the other clutch, therefore its going to be faster than the older ones too, and therefore there will be less jump and throwback. Now im not sure if it will automatically shift due to something in the programming, but there is no old style pressure system in it, so it would have to be something in the programming, and with the options you get in todays cars with the mini-computers and the little screen on your dash, im sure that will be able to be turned on or off…nothing certain here, but thats the way I think it would be, and if not, should be
But it is a different style of transmission, so u dont know what they did

Toyota yaris clutch problem?

My 2003 toyota yaris clutch pedal has been stiff and creaking. Today it went much looser and the car is hard to put into gear. What could it be?

well during the cold winter months the transmission fluid isn’t flowing like it does when its warm, this will result in a strange shifter behavior, your clutch pedal uses bushings that are cold and again behave differently, that is a fairly new car, if you truly feel there is an issue have it checked out by a dealer, im sure its all still under warranty, good luck
