How difficult is a Clutch change in a Toyota Pickup?

1994 22re base 5-speed. 192000 will need a clutch soon im sure. It slips hard when accelerating onto the highway….

its a hard job unless you have a good transmission jack to use on it,or a lift to put it up on,and either way its still a lot of work on it,its not an impossible job ,but if you have never done it before you,ll be better off letting someone else do it for you, there’s a lot of things that can go wrong with doing this job,you also have to have the flywheel re-surfaced to make the job work right, good luck with it.

how hard is it to replace a clutch on a 1988 toyota corolla if u have never replace a clutch before?

how hard is it to replace a clutch on a 1988 toyota corolla if u have never replace a clutch before and how long would it take

If you have never done it…Take it to a pro. A clutch is not something for the shade tree to do. There are special…expensive tools involved. Im the right shop. It wouldn’t even take a day. But you can plan on at least that.

When replacing the clutch on a 1985 toyota mr2 does the engine and tranny need to be removed?

There is a tight space back there. Is there a way of replacing the clutch on an aw11 MR2 with out removing the engine and transmission?
U guys have any tips or pics on how I could remove the tranny w/ out the engine?

you can remove the trans with leaving the engine in but you need a something to support the engine up top cause your removing and engine mount. a host would be great thou.

How do you replace an automatic transmission with a high performance 5/6 speed manual on a ’78 Corvette?

It is time for the restoration/tweeking of my 78 Corvette to take the next step. I want to rebuild/retool the chevy small block to double its stock 200 hp. I also want to replace the stock 4 speed automatic with a performance 5/6 speed manual transmission. I know about all the work that is involved (or more specifically money, because I won’t be doing this myself), but does anyone know of any aftermarket tranny that will fit with little or no modification of the space (outside of cutting in the clutch pedel and adjusting the shifter space) … fellow Vette guys, please help!!!

What is the correct way to take off quick from a stop using a :Lt1 engine with a 6spd..W/O ruining the clutch?

95 z28 camaro 6Speed trans Manual 350 Lt1 Motor

Trying to spin the tires..I know the car has power but dont want to ruin the clutch at the same time

Many thanks

For maximum acceleration, your clutch AND your tires are going to have to take a beating. The usual technique is to rev the engine to 3000 rpm and release the clutch rapidly. That way the tires will take most of the beating since you won’t be slipping the clutch. If you have traction control (and you have it turned on), it will keep your wheels from spinning and you’ll still have a pretty good takeoff.
