2007 chevrolet corvette?

how much do you think a 2007 corvette coupe would cost in good condition in about 4 years. also can you buy any parts that make it automatic clutch

Check out the current prices on ’03 models. You could get a pretty good idea of how much it would depreciate in 4 years. I have no idea what you’re asking about "automatic clutch".

2000 camaro 5.7L clutch or transmission problem?

I was wondering if anyone could tell me from experance what might be wrong with my car, it is a 6 speed and when i go to put it in frist gear sometimes it will grind(but if i go to 2nd gear then to first it wont grind) also if i try to go over 3000 rpms (well she wont let me) best way to describe it is..the car starts jerking around kinda like i reach the limit of the gear the car will jump kinda like a new kid tring to learn to drive, but this is while im just tring to get over 3000 rpm.

Clutch isn’t completely engaging explains the grinding problem in first. I think the clutches on the Camaro’s are hydraulic, I know my 92 RS’s is whereas my 02 GT Mustang is a regular mechanical clutch.

The jumping could be because of fuel purging…replace your fuel filter, a lot of the times the filter is clogged and at higher pressure doesn’t allow as much fuel to flow through.

Is my 1994 Toyota 4wd truck clutch bad or can it be adjusted?

When I accelerate, the motor revs up but my speed does not increase. Do i need a new clutch? Can it be adjusted w/out getting a new clutch?

Check the slave cylinder reservoir under the hood and make sure it has fluid. It most likely needs to be replaced.

Fan clutch replacement cost at a repair shop?

What kind of cost can I expect at a repair shop (or the dealership) to replace a defective fan clutch on my 2003 Ford Explorer 4×4 with the 4.0L V6? I know the unit is defective, and is the reason that my gauge reads hot in city traffic with the A/C on.

The part itself is only $60 from the auto parts store, and I am fairly mechanically inclined with air tools, hand tools and all that noise. However I’m not sure if I would be getting in over my head trying to replace it this weekend, or if it’s just better to take it to a shop. I know there is a special fan clutch tool I would need too, is that something they have at the auto parts store as a "free" rental, or would I have to buy that too?

So if anybody is a mechanic and knows an estimate of the labor cost to replace this part, or if anyone can elude me to the ‘easy factor’ of replacing this part on this SUV, please clue me in so I can decide what to do this weekend!
I just wanted to mention, I have replaced the thermostat, full coolant flush, coolant temp sensor, and the water pump/hoses are fine. The SUV has 117K miles on it.

Symptoms are, the coolant temp gauge reads normal at highway speeds (until you drive 70+ for more than an hour, then goes hot), and normal in city traffic if I drive less than 20 minutes. But as soon as I kick the air on in city traffic….it starts to get hot. If I turn on the heat and blast it through my vents, the gauge goes down to normal in about 30 seconds.

Just wanted to put it all out there.

I know the fan clutch is bad because it spins freely (with barely any resistance) when the engine is at normal operating temperature…and I know it is suppose to have resistance on it.

You need a BIG wrench to remove it. I’m pretty sure the threads are right hande, some Fords used left, but it will say that on the radiator shroud if so.

The biggest trouble is usually slippage while unscrewig. I use a 16" adjustable wrench, set it in place and then "whack" the end of the wrench. That usually loosens things up. THEN, and only then, remove the belt, unscrew the fan assembly and you will see haow to swap the fan out to the new clutch.

It is a simple job costing less than an hours labor rate, but most shops will balk if you bring in your own parts.

Check at the parts store. The AutoZones and Advances and such should have the loaner fan wrench. There is also a tool that holds the water pump to keep it from slipping.
